This magnetoelectric speed sensor consists of internal components such as a magnetoresistive element, permanent magnet, DC amplifier, and voltage regulator. It is a flux-responsive sensor (whose resistance changes with the magnitude of magnetic flux) and outputs square waves across a wide speed range, from ultra-low to high speeds (1～20000 r/min (60 P/R)). There are three types of magnetoelectric speed sensors:
- General-purpose type: MP-981
- High-speed type: MP-9820
- Waterproof type: AP-981
For the MP-981, signal cables, extension cables, and connectors are optional accessories. For the AP-981, the signal cable is a built-in extraction type with a length of 1.9 m (open end).
